Don has been with Hickory Hill Dairy since 1989 and can honestly says he’s done it all from tending to the herd, maintenance, planting crops, building construction … you name it. As for now we use is talents in the farm equipment department and “Mr. Mom” as our primary calf barn care giver.
Hoover is another one of our veteran workers (since 1992). He is a legend in our neck of the woods for milking cows … can you say LEGENDairy? Hoover has been milking cows for over 50 years and lends his skills in our very own milk parlor for more than 26 years.
Jamie has been a part of the Moo Crew since 2009. She has grown to become our Marketing Director and AgriTourism Specialist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art from the University of South Carolina and has over 20 years of graphic design and marketing know-how under her belt. Jamie is an asset to our crew and is always willing to incorporate new things to help educate our visitors … have you met Clarabelle?
Joel is a member of our milk plant crew. He grew up on a dairy and enjoys sharing his expertise with our farming family. Joel sets the stage every morning to make sure the bottling process starts off on the right foot. He is also responsible for making our jugs shelf-worthy by guaranteeing each label is perfectly situated. Joel is also a former president of the South Carolina Jersey Association.
Jorge is a member of our milk plant crew. He plays a key role in our bottling operation; ensuring the process flows smoothly while keeping a keen eye on the filling system.
Cole is a graduate of Piedmont Tech where he earned a degree in Diversified Agriculture. Like many of our Moo Crew members, he too was farm-raised and owns his own beef cattle farm. Cole joined the milk plant crew in Fall 2018 and joined the family when he wed the farmers' daughter, Courtney, in October 2020. When he's not working, you may find him preaching in a small country church.
Jessica is our newest herdsman at Hickory Hill. She is a 2019 graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. She grew up on her family's beef and poultry farm in Saluda County. Jessica also worked at Johnston Animal Hospital, Clemson University's Morgan Poultry Research Center, and interned at the dairy before her college career was complete. We are pleased to have her join us full time.
Brandon joined our Moo Crew in October 2019 as our Milk Truck Delivery Driver. He has years of experience under the hood and is be an asset behind the wheel.
Megan joined our office herd August 2020. She's a local gal who received her high school diploma from Francis Hugh Wardlaw Academy. Afterwards she earned a life degree from the School of Hard Knocks. She enjoys beekeeping, raising a ruckus on her mini farm, handling reptiles and insects, and reading 'law' for fun.
Mr. Bruce is Lisa's dad but around the farm we refer to him as our "senior advisor." If you want to know something, he's the man with the answer. He stays up-to-date with news, sports, and the community.
Micah is our future farmhand in-training. He is the most eager-to-work individual ... we wish we could bottle his work ethic! He helps us out any time and any where we need an extra hand. And if you ever need to know something, just ask him; this kid is full of knowledge and wit beyond his years.
(No photo available) Lance joined the Milk Plant's Moo Crew full-time in April 2021 after returning to the U.S. from missionary work in Europe. His family has been Hickory Hill Milk drinkers since he was very young and he's excited to be part of the crew.
